Haiti – FLASH : Search at the State Lottery, Marie Margareth Fortuné resigns
Tuesday, April 20, investigators from the Unit for the Fight against Corruption (ULCC) under strong police escort, carried out throughout the day a search of the premises of the Lottery of the Haitian State (LEH) as part of an ongoing investigation.
Seizures were made and seals were affixed for legal purposes.
The same day Marie Margareth Fortuné, the Director of the LEH submitted her letter of resignation to President Jovenel Moïse in which she wrote :
“I have the honor to present to you my resignation from the post of General Director of the Haitian State Lottery (LEH), for personal convenience.
This decision takes effect upon receipt of this letter.
Thank you for the trust placed in me over the past four years.
Please accept, Mr. President of the Republic, the expression of my highest considerations.”
