Haiti – Football : Training camp among the Dominicans for our Grenadiers
The Normalization Committee of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announced an 8-day training camp in the Dominican Republic (May 24 to June 3) for the Grenadiers while presenting the busy schedule that awaits them.
With the officialization of the two-year contract of National Coach Jean Jacques Pierre, his mission will begin with the responsibility of leading our national team to the Gold Cup. At the same time, he will also have to lead the Grenadiers to two crucial next matches for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Thus, from May 24 to June 3, the Grenadiers will carry out a training camp in Punta Cana. This camp will consist in keeping in shape the Grenadiers already on vacation in Europe, while insisting on the cohesion of the group.
Indeed, previously planned in the Dominican Republic due to the pandemic, the match against the Turks and Caicos Islands will finally take place in Providenciales on June 5. The Grenadiers will play 3 days later in Port-au-Prince against Nicaragua still in the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. In the event that the Grenadiers finish 1st in the group, a double confrontation will await them against Canada.
In addition, a second gathering will take place immediately after for the Gold Cup competition. The national team will play the play-offs against the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from July 6. They will face Bermuda or Barbados in the next round if they win, which will put them directly in Group B for the Gold Cup with among others the USA, Canada and Martinique.
