Foot: FICA humiliates the Cosmopolitan [3-0]
Saturday on the lawn of the Sylvio Cator stadium, in an advanced match of the second day of the Haitian Professional Football Championship (CHFP – 2020-202 closing series), the Football Inter Club Association (FICA) of Cap-Haitien humiliated the Cosmopolitan SC de Port-au-Prince [3-0] thanks to goals scored in the second half, by Willinx Joseph 64 ‘[1-0], Stanley Bocius 78’ [2-0] and Jeff Alcime 89 ‘[3-0 ]. With this victory, FICA remains provisionally at the top of the classification of the closing series with 4 points. Florida Diaspora: Referendum and Elections on the Agenda
Mathias Pierre, the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of electoral issues and relations with political parties who is in Orlando for a visit to assess the referendum and elections in the diaspora met the Consul General of Haiti in Miami, in order to become acquainted with the process of registering compatriots, and the Infractructures capable of possibly accommodating the latter’s vote.
Agriculture : Towards an agreement Haiti – Dominican Republic
José Luis Fernandez the Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) met with the Minister of Agriculture Patrix Sévère on the agreement and binational program “Haiti – Dominican Republic”, in the fields of animal health, plant protection and food safety. Recall that this agreement was prepared by the Ministries of Agriculture of the two countries, with technical support from the FAO and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). FAO renews its support to the Haitian Government for the finalization of this agreement with a view to its signature.
323 billion Gdes of deposit in banks
According to economist Kesner Pharel on December 31, 2020, deposits in the Haitian banking system amounted to 323 billion gourdes. The West Department accounts for 82% of deposits, the North Department fell from 8% to 4%, Artibonite 3.9% and the South 2.6%.
Arguens Jean Mary, 2nd Prize of the Song Contest Without Borders
It is with the text “Pour prendre de l’air ” that the poet Arguens Jean Mary, from the city of Jacmel, like René Depestre, by Jean Métellus, won the 2nd Prize of the Song Contest Without Borders which took place in the region of Normandy, France, among more than 1,164 participants in competition, coming from Belgium, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Republic of Congo, Tunisia, Switzerland and Portugal.
