Morne Chien : Monitoring of road works
4.5 km long, the hydraulic concrete pavement work on the “Morne Chien” section of road linking Baie-de-Haine and Bombadopolis (lower North-West) has already been carried out over approximately 3 km. The workers and technicians are hard at work in order to achieve the objective set as soon as possible, informs the Ministry of Public Works.

A woman spokesperson for the PNH
Inspector Garry Desrosiers after spending more than 15 years as Spokesperson for the National Police of Haiti (PNH) was transferred to the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) and replaced by Inspector General Marie Michelle Verrier.
20 women trained in the “Farmer Field School” approach
20 women, members of women’s associations in the commune of Belle-Anse, in the South-East department of Haiti, were trained by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Champ École Paysan (CEP) approach so that they become facilitators. They will put into practice the knowledge acquired on the FFS approach, which is a participatory learning process, to improve their income-generating activities focused on food processing and marketing. FAO is committed to continuing to support the Ministry for the Status of Women in its mission to empower Haitian women socio-economically.
