Sogebank launches an international VISA debit card

On Tuesday February 20, 2024, the Sogebank Group officially launched an international VISA debit card. This non-personalized, VISA-approved card allows Sogebank customers to carry out transactions both in Haiti and abroad. It can also be used in all ATMs in Haiti and abroad.

Cap-Haitien : A police officer killed

Police officer Rémy Cyncé who was returning from the bank with his wife was shot and killed at the beginning of the week by individuals riding a motorcycle in Petite-Anse, at the eastern entrance of the town of Cap-Haitien. Before being mortally wounded, Rémy Cyncé had time to kill one of his attackers. His wife was injured in the hand.
