Frantz Elbé visited the Departmental Directorate of West II

Friday April 26, 2024, Frantz Elbé, Director General a.i. of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), accompanied by Inspector General Frantz Mathurin, Central Director of the Administrative Police and other members of the High Command visited the Directorate Departmental West-II, located in Clercine (Tabarre). During this visit, Elbé spoke with the Departmental Director Roger Lamartinière, as well as with members of the specialized units and the heads of different services. He took the opportunity to congratulate them for their sense of duty and to motivate them in the fight against organized crime.

Screening of acute malnutrition cases

WHO-Haiti supports the Western Health Directorate (DSO) of the Ministry of Public Health through screening activities for cases of acute malnutrition in 8 displaced sites in the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince. These activities enabled the identification and treatment of 87 children under 5 years old, 2 of whom were diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition. These activities will continue this week and throughout the month of May.

ADIH : Faced with climate change

The Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) took advantage of World Day for Safety and Health at Work (April 28) to encourage companies in the implementation of strategies aimed at best adapting to the challenges arising from these dangers and continue to guarantee better protection for workers, who constitute the country’s most vital resources.
