Arrest of a young criminal

On Saturday May 29, the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) proceeded to Delmas 51, to the arrest, of the named Wilford Jean (22 years) aka “Cleef-Ford” accused of threats of death, fire, death kidnapping with order or condition and criminal association. The bandit was arrested in connection with a DCPJ investigation into the origin of the phone numbers making threatening calls with the aim of extracting money from individuals.

Constitution : The Haitian Pastors’ Conference opposes

The Haitian Pastors’ Conference opposes constitutional change. In a note published on May 31, 2021, it explains that “[…] the will expressed by individuals lacking in title, quality and legitimacy to change the 1987 Constitution and replace it with an undemocratic document enacted by groups of stateless and anti-Haitian interests […]”

Tennis : Naomi Osaka withdraws from the French Open

The world #2 of tennis, the Japanese Naomi Osaka proud of her Haitian origins, announced on Monday that she was withdrawing from the French Open at Roland Garros in order to protect herself, after the controversies caused by her decision to not participate to the press conferences.
