PNH : Inspector killed on Frères road
On Friday, June 18, 2021, Inspector Emmanuel Silencieux Jeanty was shot several times on the route de Frères by unidentified heavily armed individuals who riddled the vehicle he was in with bullets.
Insecurity : Moïse asks for international support
Sunday, June 20, President Jovenel Moise asked for international support and collaboration from all sectors of society to put an end to the violence of armed gangs which has intensified in recent weeks. He clarified that he is not asking for an intervention of foreign troops in Haiti, like those deployed by the UN between 2004 and 2019, but rather the commitment of the international community in the fight against the insecurity.
Carrefour : Gas power station
On Sunday, Evenson Calixte, Director General of the National Energy Sector Regulatory Authority (ANARSE), visited the new Carrefour power plant where the installation of flexible tanks is underway. Performance tests are continuing to find the optimum operating point for the turbines. Trucks arrived to fill the buffer tanks. Remember that the mixed gas/diesel plant will run on diesel for the first 6 months before running on natural gas.
Covid : The President of the Court of Cassation hospitalized
The President of the Court of Cassation, Me René Sylvestre, who tested positive for Covid-19 was rushed to Mirebalais University Hospital where he is said to be in critical condition.

Does Aristide have the Covid ?
According to the National Palace, former President Jean Bertrand Aristide (68) has tested positive for Covid-19, and is expected to leave Haiti shortly for Cuba for treatment. Does ex-President Aristide have Covid ? “To my knowledge not,” said Jodson Dirogene Spokesman for the Lavalas Party “All I know is that until this morning Dr. Aristide had the flu.”
