Argentina : a 13-year-old Haitian star in equestrian sport
The Haitian Ambassador to Argentina Vilbert Bélizaire this week received at the Embassy in Buenos Aires, Ziline Pierre Pena Arias, a 13-year-old Haitian teenager accompanied by her adoptive father Pedro Gustavo Pena. Note that Ziline left Haiti in 2012, at the age of 3. She practices equestrian sport and has represented Argentina at the world level in various competitions and won several medals.

International Children’s Book Day:
As part of the International Children’s Book Day (April 2) Jean Emmanuel Jacquet, the Director General of the National Book Directorate (DNL) declared that in Haiti we had to tackle the problems of accessibility children’s books, support young people and work to put in place adequate public policies that can boost the children’s book sector. He believes that access to children’s books and support for publishers and authors who produce these books are fundamental. “Through our various Reading and Cultural Animation Centers (CLAC) and municipal libraries, we are insisting on creating a special place on the shelves for children’s books,” Indicated Jean Emmanuel Jacquet.
