iciHaiti - Agriculture : D-1, Working hard on the Fair and the inauguration of the Marion dam

As part of the Agriculture and Labor Day (May 1), the Ministry of Agriculture carried out three days of planning and visiting work in the north of the country, more specifically in Cap-Haitien, in particular for the organization of the national gastro-craft fair which will be held this year from April 29 to May 1st.

During this visit, Branly Eugène, the Director General of the Ministry and the other members of the organizing team met representatives of the National Palace, the Departmental Delegate of the North and State institutions on the Marion site, in the North-East department in order to refine the preparations for the inauguration of the dam on the Marion River which will take place on May 1st, the day of Agriculture and Labor Day https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-31269-haiti-politic-towards-the-end-of-the-works-of-the-dam-on-the-marion-river.html in the Presence of President Jovenel Moïse and many distinguished personalities.

This is a symbolism that clearly translates the slogan of this year’s fair “Ann jere dlo pou chanje la vi” according to Rideler Philius, the coordinator of the fair who announces a beautiful celebration for all visitors with many activities.

They met several representatives of different institutions of Cap-Haitien, in particular Universities, Foundations, Associations of farmers who will be key actors for the manifestation of this great festivity which will highlight national production in all its aspects.
