
iciHaiti – Diplomacy : New Russian Ambassador accredited to Haiti

Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the National Palace, President Jovenel Moïse received the credentials of Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary accredited to Haiti on behalf of the Russian Federation.
In a message via social media Moïse wrote, “This Wednesday, June 2, I received the Letters of Credence accrediting Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov, as Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Haiti. During the discussions, we discussed the prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.”
Subsequently, the new diplomat made a floral offerings to the Haitian National Pantheon in homage to the Fathers of the Independence of Haiti. Then, Jean Claude Legagneur, the Director General of the Musée du Panthéon National Haiti (MUPANAH) invited Ambassador Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov to take a guided tour of the permanent and temporary exhibition rooms of the museum.
