iciHaiti - Health : Review of the National Ambulance Center (March 2021)

The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has communicated to us its statistical report relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of March 2021.

Of the 1,111 cases handled by CAN in March 2021 (-2.88% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-33178-icihaiti-health-review-of-the-national-ambulance-center-feb-2021.html ), 26% were obstetric emergencies, 15.1% chronic diseases various pathologies and 18% road accidents.

This report reveals that the CAN intervened in:

44 cases of respiratory distress;

168 cases of chronic disease;

292 obstetric emergencies;

103 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);

210 various ailments (Malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).

In addition, the CAN intervened in 201 road accidents, 60 gunshot wounds, 24 stab wounds, 38 head injuries and 9 burn cases.
