iciHaiti – Migration : 91 Haitians expelled from Mexico
On Saturday June 19, 2021, the National Institute of Migration (INM) expelled 91 Haitians in an irregular migratory situation, unable to prove their legal stay in Mexico.
The repatriation flight to Port-au-Prince took place from Tapachula airport in the state of Chiapas. Our compatriots were accompanied by agents of the INM and the National Guard.
According to data from the Migration Policy Unit of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), from January to April 2021, 31,304 people in an irregular migratory situation were expelled. Of this total, the migrants who arrive most irregularly in Mexico come from Central America and the Caribbean.
