The Episcopal Conference of Haiti (CEH), the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince, the Congregation of the Salesians of Don Bosco and the parents of Mgr. Ducange Sylvain inform the population that the funeral of the Auxiliary Bishop of Port-au-Prince who died on June 8 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33929-haiti-religion-the-catholic-church-mourns-the-death-of-bishop-ducange-sylvain.html will be sung on Wednesday June 16, 2021, in Saint-Pierre Church in Pétion-ville at 8:30 am.
“The CEH takes this opportunity to express its deep sympathy to the spiritual and biological families, as well as to the friends of the dear deceased. At the same time, she pays homage to this zealous and passionate pastor, to this man of discernment, deep, simple and full of wisdom.”
A prayer vigil will be organized on Tuesday, June 15 from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ the King in Bourdon.
The faithful are invited to join in the prayer of the Church on these two occasions, with strict respect for sanitary measures. Due to the Covid, these funerals will be broadcast live on Radio-Télé Soleil’s Facebook and YouTube page.
