iciHaiti - UNESCO : Saint-Marc candidate for the «World Book Capital 2023» program

Mrs. Dominique Dupuy, Permanent Delegate Ambassador of Haiti to UNESCO, officially announces the candidacy, with the National Book Directorate (DNL) of the city of Saint-Marc as part of the UNESCO Program “World Book Capital 2023”.

The “World Book Capital” Program invites cities in UNESCO Member States to promote reading and books. The chosen city will be announced on July 1, 2021, by an Advisory Committee, made up of a representative of the International Authors’ Forum, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, the International Union of Publishers and UNESCO.

The Permanent Delegation of Haiti to UNESCO welcomes the determination of the various actors concerned, in particular the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Haitian National Commission and Cooperation with UNESCO, the National Directorate of Books and the town hall of Saint-Marc.
