CAVB-230125009 – The Visa Application Center for Brazil (CAVB) in Haiti operated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM – Haiti) reminds the general public that the documentation required in the visa application process for Brazil is a decision of the destination country.

IOM, clarifies that only the Embassy of Brazil is competent to decide whether or not to grant visas, as well as the modalities of the process. IOM works closely with the Embassy, but the final decision remains the prerogative of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in accordance with the migration laws in force.

CAVB-230125008 – IOM emphasizes that digital legalization is mandatory if the documents cannot be transmitted to Haiti. Important : All documents scanned and signed manually will not be accepted.

CAVB-230125007 – The CAVB informs that Haitians who arrived in Brazil without a visa can apply for family reunification, provided they provide proof of regularization of their status.

Important : Haitians who entered with a VITEM 11 visa are not eligible.
